As a result of the amendments to the proxy rules ('U.S. Notice and Access') contained in The Securities and Exchange Act of 1934 ('Exchange Act') introduced by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) earlier this year, U.S. companies may make proxy materials available to their shareholders electronically using a 'Notice and Access' model for proxy solicitation.
